Let’s begin again, shall we?
I am back on Substack after an unintended hiatus of 13 months. I have new subscribers, which feels absolutely delightful. Honestly, that gave me a nudge to get back to writing again. Thank you, guys, for joining me on this journey.
Thank you to my existing subscribers for sticking around with me.
Let us kickstart this new month with a short poem.
“How can I begin anything new with all of yesterday in me?” — Leonard Cohen
Let your heart break completely so that everything that doesn’t belong to you can bleed out of it.
Let go of all the burdens, disappointments, unfulfilled desires, and expectations that were never yours to begin with.
When nothing remains, take gentle care of your heart and pour into it love so pure that no one can take it away from you. Ever.
Align your head with your heart and soul.
Rewrite your story and witness your transformation.
There’s no alternative to the inner work that you need to do to become the person that you’re meant to be.
And that just sucks!
Let’s say one of the themes of your life journey is about learning to keep an open heart, then life will keep bringing circumstances to crack it open repeatedly until you stop guarding it.
Every single wall around your heart will be torn down. How else would you experience the richness of life?
Intellectually, you understand this, however, it is the emotional processing part that seems difficult.
What are your thoughts on this? Let me know in the comments.
Happy to be back.
Talk soon.
